A clash has occurred on Friday in the Mowe-Ofada area of Ogun State, leaving at least two persons dead.

In another development, it was also revealed that there was also crisis in Lagos State, at Iyana Ipaja area, The Punch reports.

So far, the Lagos State Police Command through its Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, have reacted to the development with a promised to get back on the violence in Iyana Ipaja.

Meanwhile, the violence in Mowe-Ofada area of the state, has been confirmed by the Ogun police PPRO, Abimbola Oyeyemi.

It was also revealed that the violence in Ogun State, which was caused by a clash between two rival groups started late on Thursday and transcended to Friday morning.

“It is a fight between two rival groups. One of the cultists was killed yesterday (Thursday) but the situation has been brought under control.

“We have arrested a suspect in relation to the violence,” said Oyeyemi.

According to an eyewitnesses named Titi, the effect of the violence affected many traders who were scared to open their shops.

“A dead corpse was found around the Mowe area on Friday morning. We are being careful. Many of us are yet to open our shops. Everywhere is scanty,” said Titi.
