Truck Collides with Bus, Kills Three in Meiran
It was a black Wednesday morning in the Meiran area of Lagos as at least three persons were confirmed dead following a fatal road accident.
Reports indicate that the crash involved a Dangote Cement truck, a mini bus, and four tricycles.
The truck, which was reportedly travelling from Sango Ota, allegedly lost its brakes and rammed into the mini bus and the tricycles that were parked at a bus stop while waiting to pick up passengers.
Eyewitnesses said the impact was severe, leading to the instant death of three persons, while several others sustained varying degrees of injuries.
Emergency responders were said to have arrived at the scene to rescue the injured and clear the wreckage, as traffic was temporarily disrupted in the area.
As of the time of filing this report, no official statement has been issued by the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) or other relevant agencies, while investigations into the cause of the accident are ongoing
