The raid, which occurred on Friday in the Ebubengwa/Abayi Nchokoro area, reportedly led to a fierce gun battle, during which the militants fled the scene under heavy fire, leaving blood trails behind. A situation report from the 144 Battalion (Rear) confirmed that one ESN member was killed, while an officer and a soldier sustained injuries during the operation.
The troops recovered a significant arsenal, including:
One rocket-propelled grenade (RPG)
One general-purpose machine gun (GPMG)
Four AK-47 rifles
One G3 rifle
Three pump-action shotguns

Additionally, the troops seized N11.75 million and $27,000 in cash, as well as logistics and communication equipment believed to be used by the group.
