A shocking incident unfolded in the Agege area of Lagos on Saturday morning, as a truck plummeted off the Pen Cinema fly-over bridge, crushing two mini-buses, known locally as “korope,” beneath it.
The accident occurred inward Old Abeokuta Road and was confirmed by the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) at 8:37 am.
In response to the incident, LASTMA reported that a swift recovery operation for the affected vehicles has been initiated.
The agency stated, “A truck fell off the Pen Cinema Fly-over bridge Inward Old Abeokuta Road and fell on two commercial mini-bus (Korope).”
“Recovery of the affected vehicles have been swiftly initiated.
“LASTMA personnel and other emergency responders are very much on ground to maintain decorum.”
