Tinubu’s 2027 Bid,
Governors Endorse Second Term at APC Summi
The race for the 2027 presidential election appears to have officially begun, with the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), led by Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma, formally endorsing President Bola Tinubu for a second term.
Governor Uzodinma made the announcement at the ongoing APC National Summit held at the Presidential Villa’s Banquet Hall. The event commenced with welcoming remarks from APC National Secretary Ajibola Bashiru before Governor Uzodinma took the stage. He highlighted the achievements of the Tinubu administration, including the successful removal of fuel subsidy and increased foreign investor confidence.
Uzodinma’s declaration of the PGF’s position was swiftly seconded by Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, and the attendees unanimously accepted the endorsement through a voice vote.
President Bola Tinubu has yet to address the summit at the time of this report.
