Tinubu Forwards Three Ambassadorial Nominees to Senate for Confirmation
President Bola Tinubu has submitted the names of three ambassadorial nominees to the Senate for confirmation, marking the beginning of a new round of diplomatic appointments.
The announcement was made by Senate President Godswill Akpabio during Wednesday’s plenary session, which was broadcast live on the National Assembly’s official YouTube channel.
The nominees forwarded by the President are:
Kayode Are – Ogun State
Aminu Dalhatu – Jigawa State
Ayodele Oke – (State not specified in the letter)
After reading President Tinubu’s letter, Akpabio told lawmakers that additional names are expected, saying: “The list contains three names for now. I am sure others will follow.”
The nominees will undergo screening by the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs before their confirmation.
