Curator and Interior designer, Olufisayo Bakare has shared her view on how to preserve culture and arts in Nigeria.

Bakare who was a guest on “Silverbird Today” said art is not inherently part of Nigerians but something imbibed through cross cultural dialogue.

The art enthusiast also spoke from an angle of ‘’education in art’’, stressing that arts should educate anyone who comes in contact with it.

On how Nigerians should be custodians of arts and culture Bakare stated that she wants to work more with museums using the Nigerian historic art history to educate people.

Bakare also spoke about income and how money is being made from art works. In her view, she said sponsors and patrons donate their collections time or money into ensuring arm of education progresses through museum, while others are sell their works and private collections.
