Stars Dazzle in Royal Splendor at AMVCA Cultural Day Celebratio
The 11th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) kicked off in grand style with its signature Cultural Day, and once again, African fashion and heritage took center stage. Celebrities turned out in full regal elegance, paying homage to the continent’s rich cultural traditions with stunning, handcrafted designs.
From intricately embroidered agbadas to show-stopping corset gowns and beaded ensembles, the red carpet glistened with expressions of identity, pride, and creativity. The Cultural Day event proved to be more than a fashion showcase—it was a full-circle celebration of African heritage and royalty.
Nigerian male celebrities stood tall in luxuriously tailored agbadas, blending modern silhouettes with traditional flair. Many complemented their looks with coral beads, embroidered caps, and ornately carved walking sticks, each accessory echoing the strength and legacy of African ancestry.
On the other side, the women turned heads with breathtaking gowns—some adorned with sequins, others with flowing capes, daring cuts, and elaborate beadwork. From Yoruba iro and buba to Northern kaftans and Eastern georges, every piece told a story. Geles were styled with pinpoint precision, elevating each look to a level of haute couture.
The evening reaffirmed that fashion is more than just aesthetics—it’s a powerful form of cultural storytelling. The AMVCA Cultural Day continues to set the standard for how African fashion can honor the past while inspiring the future.
