England men’s football team has reached the third position in the Fifa’s men’s world rankings.
Going memory lane, the English team put up a scintillating performance in the recent Euro 2020 tournament despite losing to Italy in the final in July.
Part of the feat Gareth Southgate’s men achieved was a remarkable victory against Hungary and Andorra 4-0 in World Cup qualifying earlier this month before drawing with Poland.
The highly rated team also cruised past world champions France, who have dropped to fourth after two draws and a win.
This development has become a plus for England since after they were ranked third in September 2012.
Sitting at the top in the ranking is Belgium whose remarkable performance at the Euros could not give the prestigious the trophy, while Brazil and France claimed the second and third spot respectively.
