Netherlands striker Luuk De Jong, has joined Spanish football giant, Barcelona from Sevilla on a season-long loan.

The signing of the 31-year-old is coming after the exit of France striker, Antoine Griezmann from the Nou Camp.

Interestingly, 30-year-old Griezmann who is re-joining Atletico Madrid is returning to the club two years after he joined Barca for £107m.

With an option to make his stay permanent next summer, Barca will pay De Jong’s salary this season.

On this term’s salary for Griezmann in Atletico there is a compulsory clause to make the transfer permanent.

Griezmann has achieved some feats and made efforts to score 133 goals in 257 games for Atletico and has won the Europa League, Uefa Super Cup and Spanish Super Cup during his time in the Spanish capital.
