Tennis star Rafael Nadal has made his intention to pull out of the US open public on Friday, due to a foot injury.

This development will automatically make the Spaniard miss the remainder of the 2021 season, the final grand slam of the year.

The world No. 4 has disclosed that the decision to end his 2021 season was “the way forward to recover and recover well.”

According to him, in a statement posted on social media, he had been suffering much more than he should with a foot injury.
