The United States of America have beaten Mexico 1-0 to win the Concacaf Gold Cup.
The win for US which came after the extra time is for the seventh time and the first time since 2017.
As for Mexico, the North American country has won the trophy eight times with Canada being the only other nation to win it in 2000.
Atlanta United defender Miles Robinson who scored his third international goal in the match headed in the ball after 118 minutes in Las Vegas.
It has been recorded in history that the win for US is their first in the tournament for North American, central American and Caribbean countries since 2017.
In reaction to the win, Robinson made some comments. He said, “I don’t know really what happened – some crazy emotions but I’m happy we got the W,”
“We were focusing a lot on set pieces. I knew if I could get open, I could finish one and Kellyn [Acosta] put a perfect ball in so I had to finish it.”
