Italian Serie A football club, AC Milan are ready to sign Chelsea striker, Olivier Giroud a two-year deal.

The deal is so close that the move for the French international will be completed by the end of the week, despite him extending his contract last month until 2022.

On his profile for Chelsea, Giroud, who joined Chelsea from Arsenal for £18m in January 2018 and scored 11 goals in 31 appearances last season.

He has also made eight Premier League starts in the 2020-21 season, after the signings of German forwards Kai Havertz and Timo Werner last summer.

Giroud has won the Champions League, Europa League and FA Cup and scored 39 goals in 119 appearances for the Blues.

On his stint with the French team at the just concluded Euro 2020 tournament, Giroud came off the bench in the last-16 match that Switzerland defeated France.

Other trophies won by Giroud are: the World Cup, and three FA Cups with Arsenal.
