Italy on Sunday lifted the Euro 2020 trophy at Wembley Stadium after beating England on penalties.

The Azzurri have won this trophy, the European Championship for the second time, after getting to their tenth Final in a major tournament.

The final match of the tournament was a highly competitive one with England, but at the end of the day, the Azzurri captain, Giorgio Chiellini and his teammates, triumphed and lifted the trophy.

The Three Lions came all out against Italy with Luke Shaw scoring the fastest goal of the tournament with a volley in the second minute.

But the toughness of the match started after Italy’s Leonardo Bonucci cancelled Shaw’s goal while Gianluigi Donnarumma was decisive with two saves in the penalty shoot-out, as Italy beat England to win UEFA Euro 2020.

Chiellini could not hold on to his excitement as he shared some comments with the public. He said,   “We won, I think deservedly. We felt something magical in the air, we’d been saying it since the start of May and we deserve it, all of Italy deserves it,”.

“It was an incredible sensation, thank you to everyone who was part of this group over three years and we dedicate it to all those players who are watching from home too.”
