England has recorded victory against Croatia 1-0 in their opening match in the recently commenced Euro 2020 tournament.

The victory for England has left surprises on the faces of critics who thought the three Lions won’t start with a win at least, considering the selection of players England manager, Gareth Southgate made for the global tournament.

There were lots of talking points and mixed reactions and controversies as his squad was not exactly met with unanimous approval by the public.

After the match against Croatia, England came out victorious in their 10th Euros. Thanks to a superb gaol from Sterling which sealed the opening win for the Three Lions. It is already in record that it has included five draws and four losses.

Considering Southgate’s key decisions which has obviously given an edge, the England manager resisted the temptation to include current people’s champion Jack Grealish to stick with eventual match winner Raheem Sterling as part of a collection of creativity that also included Phil Foden and Mason Mount, behind captain Harry Kane.
