The long-awaited EURO 2020, which is also known as 16th UEFA European Championship, is about to take centre stage in 11 cities across the continent from June 11 to July 11, 2021.

Nigerian media giant, Silverbird Group has acquired the licence to broadcast all the exiting games live on Silverbird Television from the first match of the tournament to the last.

A total of Twenty-Four teams across Europe, which have been grouped from Group A to group F will be participating in the tournament. They are:

Group A: Italy, Switzerland, Turkey, Wales

Group B: Belgium, Russia, Denmark, Finland

Group C: Ukraine, Netherlands, Austria, North Macedonia

Group D: England, Croatia, Czech Republic, Scotland

Group E: Spain, Poland, Sweden, Slovakia

Group F: Germany, France, Portugal, Hungary

Interestingly, the global tournament which coronavirus put back a year to 2021, will be celebrating its 60th birthday with 12 cities and stadiums selected as venues for the sporting event.

They are: Amsterdam (Netherlands) – Johan Cruyff Arena, Baku (Azerbaijan) – Olympic Stadium, Seville (Spain) – Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium, Bucharest (Romania) – Arena Nationala, Budapest (Hungary) – Puskas Arena, Copenhagen (Denmark) – Parken Stadium, Glasgow (Scotland) – Hampden Park, London (England) – Wembley Stadium, Munich (Germany) – Allianz Arena, Rome (Italy) – Stadio Olimpico, Saint Petersburg (Russia) – Krestovsky Stadium.

The coach of the Three Lions of England has released a 26-man list, after doing a selection of twenty-four players which will be featured in the squad.
