Liverpool football club are out of the Champions League after Real Madrid played in a goalless draw with the Jurgen Klopp’s side on Thursday at Anfield.

With this feat, Real Madrid has set up a semi-final meeting with Chelsea, after Liverpool’s Champions League quest ended in disappointment.

In the game, Liverpool had a lot of chances in the first-half but refused to convert them.

Meanwhile, the Los Blancos came to Anfield, protecting a 3-1 lead from the first leg, they eventually went through in relative comfort.

In the opening moments of the game, Real keeper Thibaut Courtois did his best to stop regular shots, especially from Mohamed Salah.

Liverpool star, Georginio Wijnaldum was also guilty of wasting an opportunity to at least apply pressure on the Spanish football club.

Talented Real Madrid forward, Benzema played a positive role in the game when he drove in a shot that was deflected on to the post, while Courtois was in action again to block Roberto Firmino’s angled shot after the break.

Before Zinadine Zidane’s side completed the job of meeting with Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea, Liverpool implored all the tactics they knew, during the second half.

To make their efforts worthwhile, Real defended with a lot of passion to grab a win and prepare for a meeting with another Premier League side Chelsea.
