Poland striker Robert Lewandowski won’t feature in Wednesday’s 2022 World Cup qualifier against England at Wembley.

The Bayern Munich star will not play in the prestigious tournament due to a knee injury which he sustained on Sunday.

Lewandowski, 32, limped off during Sunday’s 3-0 win over Andorra after scoring two goals.Wo

On his injury status, which has been confirmed to be ligament damage, the Polish FA say he faces up to 10 days out.

Concerning his club assignment, in nine days time, Lewandowski will hopefully be fit for Champions League quarter-final first leg against Paris St-Germain

The talented striker has returned to Germany for further treatment on the injury.
