Tottenham Hotspurs have restored some hope in the English Premier League after securing a 2-0 win against Aston Villa on Sunday.

Before this feat was achieved, Tottenham was labelled as a disgrace by their own captain Hugo Lloris for their exit in the Champions League last week, after losing their match against Dinamo Zagreb.

On their stand and chances in the the Premier League, Spurs are three points off the Champions League places.

Spurs’ performance and form after beating Villa, is obviously a boost. It will also help Jose Mourinho’s men go into the international break with a little dignity restored

Considering the result against Villa, it is obvious that Mourinho went back to the drawing board-and it was evident in the changes, presumably turning to the players he trusts, and was rewarded with some standout displays.

Outstanding player, Harry Kane was among them but Carlos Vinicius and, in particular, Lucas Moura impressed too.
