Manchester United on Sunday brought Manchester Ciy’s sequence of 21 successive victories to a halt after beating the Premier League leaders 2-0.

Bruno Fernandes started the impressive derby victory at Etihad Stadium for United when he stunned City with a fast start.

Fernandes converted a penalty that was awarded inside the first 30 seconds when Gabriel Jesus fouled the impressive Antony Martial.

Luke Shaw missed a chance to double United’s lead by leading a counter-attack but finally got his rhythm for the Red Devils after exchanging passes with Marcus Rashford and beating Ederson with a low shot.

After the win, Red Devils manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says Unitedare not thinking about chasing down Manchester City. United who have now gone 22 league away games unbeaten, including 14 wins.

Despite the loss, Pep Guardiola’s side still have what looks to be an unassailable 11-point lead at the top of the table.
