Liverpool captain, Jordan Henderson will be out until March or April, after suffering a groin injury in their 2-0 loss to Everton last weekend.
At the moment, the club has confirmed that Henderson has undergone surgery as a result of the injury he suffered in the Merseyside derby.
As a result of the injury, Henderson was forced off in the first half of Liverpool’s 2-0 defeat against rivals Everton at Anfield last Saturday.
The idea of an operation on his injury came up after after being assessed by the club’s medical staff.
Liverpool while making public Henderson’s injury, released a statement which read:
“Following further assessment with the club’s medical team, Henderson has successfully had a corrective procedure carried out on the adductor injury. He will begin a rehabilitation programme immediately
On their next match, Liverpool will be taking on Sheff Utd on Sunday, from 7pm; kick-off 7:15pm.
