Liverpool Football Club have indicated interest in signing Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich.
The Premier League champions agreed a £20million with the German club to sign Alcantara with a further £5m in potential add-ons.
According to Evening Standard, the midfielder is expected to sign a four-year deal and will wear the no.6 shirt.
As he nears the end of his contract, Alcantara is available for a cut-price fee and has made no secret of his desire for a new challenge.
Talks have now opened over a fee as Bayern are believed to want around €30m for the midfielder.
Meanwhile, former president of Bayern, Uli Hoeness claimed last week that Thiago had an agreement with Liverpool and possibly Manchester United in place.
