After Everton beat Tottenham Hotspurs on Sunday, Carlo Ancelotti is considering offloading Alex Iwobi and other players.
This development has come after Everton fans have been reacting to the news that the Nigerian would be sold, with some believing that he ‘offers nothing’, has been ‘really poor’ and ‘needs to go’.
As part of the plans for the Toffees to move on after their impressive 1-0 win against Spurs, Everton have made three splashes in the transfer market recently, luring Allan, Abdoulaye Doucoure and James Rodriguez to Goodison Park.
Despite Ancelotti’s intention to sign players,The Mirror reported on Tuesday that Italian striker Moise Kean is also tipped for exit.
On Iwobi’s history in the club, Everton paid £34m to sign Iwobi from Arsenal last summer, but he failed to really live up to the price tag last season.
Last season, Iwobi showed moments of quality, but mustered just two goals and one assist– and wasn’t on the bench against Spurs on Sunday.
The saga about Iwobi going also reflected on the social media. It was tweeted on Everton FC’s page that: “Iwobi needs to go tho,” @EFC891.
