Newly signed Manchester United player Odion Ighalo has become the first Nigerian to play for the Red Devils in their 2-0 win against Chelsea on Monday night.
The ex-Nigeria international was featured against Frank Lampard’s men following him cameo appearance at Stamford Bridge.
It is now recorded in history that, Odion Ighalo is the 200th player to make an appearance for Manchester United in the premier league , and is the first Nigerian to do so.
In the match, Ighalo was introduced as a 90th minute substitute for Anthony Martial, With Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men leading 2-0 a Stamford Bridge.
