Newly signed Manchester United striker Odion Ighalo has joined his new team-mates at the club’s training base to train for the first time.

According to Evening Standard, this development has occurred in order for the Nigerian to give the entire team a boost, as they prepare to clash with Frank Lampard’s boys Chelsea, on Monday evening.

Ighalo missed the club’s trip to Marbella for warm-weather training camp during the winter, but has finally joined his teammates.

Having not played competitively since early December, the talented striker has instead been training in isolation to get up to speed.

On Sunday morning he arrived at Manchester United’s Carrington complex and trained with the squad for the first time ahead of the trip to Stamford Bridge.

As a new signing, there are so much anticipation from fans, of the Nigerian both home and away as that face Chelsea.

Solskjaer speaking about Ighalo’s inclusion in the squad said, “As a striker you don’t need too much time to get involved in a group because your chance is there on the training field or in a game.”
