Ex-Nigeria international Mutiu Adepoju said Joseph Yobo is an ideal choice to bring the Super Eagles players together.

Yobo replaced Imama Amapakabo after he was appointed as Gernot Rohr’s assistant on Wednesday.

According to Goal.com, Adepoju who expressed his joy concerning Yobo’s appointment says his charisma is a greater indicator of his Super Eagles potential than other failings.

On Yobo’s football history, the Everton legend has captaining the Nigeria National team  to the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations triumph, as well as being Nigeria’s joint most-capped player.

The former Real Madrid star also said the factors will prove more relevance in the three-time African champions’ fold.

Adepoju who spoke to Goal said, “Well, there is nothing bad in it. As we all know, Yobo served Nigeria so much and captained the Super Eagles. In this regard, I feel his appointment is justified.”
