Liverpool forward Sadio Mane is going through a medical assessment after he suffered a hamstring injury in their 2-1 win over Wolves.
Premier League debutant Takumi Minamino got an opportunity to be fielded after the mishap that led to the limping off of Mane in the first half of the game.
Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp has reacted to the sudden shock, He said, “Sadio felt something in his hamstring. We don’t know yet. We have to wait,”
After a tough encounter in the match against Wolves, Roberto Firmino came to the rescue, by scoring a late winner to take the Reds 16 points clear of Manchester City at the top with a game in hand.
Concerning Liverpool’s next game, Klopp has expressed his concern, relating the matches with Mane’s injury.
The Reds have three games in the next nine days: an FA Cup trip to Shrewsbury on Sunday followed by league games against West Ham on Wednesday and Southampton next Saturday.
