Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has sustained a back injury during the Red Devils’ 1-0 FA Cup third round replay win over Wolves.
United coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed that, concurred to the fact that his idea of featuring the talented forward “backfired” after Rashford sustained the injury.
On the update of the injury, it was revealed that the United striker landed awkwardly after tangling with Wolves full-back Matt Doherty.
Rashford was replaced by Jesse Lingard in the 80th minute of the game, having come on as a sub himself in the 64th minute.
United went on to set up a fourth-round tie against the winner of the replay between Watford and Tranmere Rovers.
Solskjaer who made comments about the state of Rashford’s injury said, “I didn’t want to play him. I think he got a knock, a knee or something, in his back, but he’s been struggling for a little while,”.
On his goal scoring feat, the united star has netted goals for United this season.
