The chief executive of Inter Milan football club Giuseppe Marotta has confirmed an interest in signing Tottenham star Christian Eriksen.
Depite his interest in the talented footballer, Moratta has disclosed that there has been no contact with Tottenham, so far.
Concerning Eriksen’s contract at Tottenham, it has been confirmed by the club that, he is out of contract in the summer and able to discuss a free transfer with overseas clubs this month.
According to the club, Jose Mourinho has admitted Eriksen could leave this month, despite starting the last three matches.
They also confirmed that Spurs are willing to listen to offers of £20million and would prefer to sell the playmaker outright.
Considering the Denmark international’s ambition of a new challenge and a lifestyle change at a southern European club, he has repeatedly stalled on signing a new Spurs contract which would make him one of the club’s top earners.
In response to Eriksen’s new development Morratta made his comments about the player.
Marotta speaking to Sky Italia said: “Often important players are linked to us. Eriksen is an excellent player whose contract expires in June and we have had no contact with Tottenham. I still believe that there are many teams interested in him and we have not started any kind of negotiations.
