Super Falconets forward Rasheedat Ajibade is in cloud nine after seeing the team record their first win at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup against Haiti on Thursday.
The Nigerian girls bounced back from the defeat against Germany in their first game to beat the Haitians 1-0.
Ajibade scored the winning goal from the penalty spot in the 36th minute.
Chris Danjuma’s team will face China in their final Group D game on Monday and need just a draw to progress into the quarter-finals.
Germany who beat China 2-0 in the other Group D game top the group with six points. Nigeria and China occupy second and third spot respectively while Haiti sit in the last position in the group.
