Players of the home based Super Eagles of Nigeria were in jubilant mood after their 0-4 loss to the host country, Morocco at the final of the Champion of African Nations tournament on Sunday.
Some of them who spoke to our correspondent said the experience they got at the tournament was enough positives for the celebration.
Meanwhile, former Super Eagles midfielder, Mutiu Adepoju has asked Nigerians to see the positive sides of the lads who were never given any chance at the beginning of the tournament but got to the final.
He said this via the NFF twitter handle. He tweets,” In the beginning, no one gave these boys a chance, but against all odds, they finished 2nd. Take a bow gallant players.”
The home based eagles were whitewashed by their Moroccans’ counterparts.
