All southerners are at the risk of attacks by Almajiris and other restive youths in the north following the quit order issued to Ndigbo by some northern youths. Afenifere has said.

The Yoruba socio-cultural organisation through a statement called for the implementation of the last national conference as a way out of the challenges confronting the country.

Afenifere argued that the failure of the security agencies to arrest the groups that issued the threat, indicated that the youths were merely voicing the position of the northern political establishment.

Meanwhile, the Governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose has blamed the Federal Government and the All Progressives Congress, for instigating the ultimatum by Arewa youth on people of Igbo s living in the north to leave.

During a state broadcast, the governor said that the nonchalant attitude of the Federal Government to ethnic clashes across the country is giving confidence to those singing war songs.
