Hindi cinema, often known as Bollywood has lost a composer, Shravan Rathod to the deadly Covid-19.

Rathod’s family confirmed that he died shortly after testing positive for the virus.

Before his death, the talented composer, and his wife had just returned from India’s Haridwar city, where huge crowds gathered to take part in the Kumbh Mela Hindu festival.

On his profile and career in the movie industry, Rathod, 66, alongside his musical partner Nadeem Saifi created some of Bollywood’s most enduring hits of the 1990s.

The death of Rathod has triggered reactions from movie enthusiasts and experts. One of the renowned name in the Industry, Oscar-winner AR Rahman paid tribute on social media with his tweet: “Our Music community and your fans will miss you immensely”.

The Indian film composer, record producer, singer, and songwriter was not  the only person that reacted, but Actor Ajay Devgn said:

“Shravan (and Nadeem) walked 30 years alongside me in my career with the evergreen album for Phool Aur Kaante.

“Very sad, very unfortunate to hear of his demise last night.”
