Russia Targets Ukraine Government Buildings in Overnight Strikes
Kyiv, Ukraine – Russia launched overnight drone strikes on the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, hitting the city’s main government building, according to reports by the BBC. Witnesses reported smoke and explosions in the city center.
Several multi-storey residential buildings were also struck and partially destroyed. Authorities confirmed two deaths, including an infant, and at least 20 people injured.
In a separate assault, Russian forces targeted Kryvyi Rih, the hometown of President Volodymyr Zelensky, where three infrastructure facilities were hit.
The latest attacks mark an escalation in Moscow’s campaign against Ukrainian urban and strategic centers as the war enters another tense phase.
