Two mobile policemen were killed in the early hours of today at Hawan Kibo along Jos – Abuja Road as armed robbers attacked a convoy of bullion vans belonging to the Central Bank of Nigeria.
Somewhere along Hawan Kibo, immediately after a military check point, the armed robbers, wearing military uniforms, emerged from a bush and attacked a patrol team belonging to the Plateau State security outfit ,killing a mobile policeman on the spot. 
The CBN convoy  ran into the armed robbers who opened fire on it leading to the death of the second police officer. Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Tyopev Terna,  confirmed the incident.

In a related development, Enugu State Police Command has arrested two notorious armed robbery suspects who have been harassing members of the public within Adani  in Uzouwani Local Government Area and its environs.
The police  on August 10 apprehended one Chukwuebuka Okpeja, a native of Uweneakpa Village in Adani with a CY 80 motorcycle and other items.
He confessed that he and his gang member Odinaka Nebeolisa  robbed a woman  of her phones and other valuables  a day before, on  Aku Road Nsukka .
 Police says full investigation has commenced into the activities of the robbers in the area.
