Prince Harry said he was “relieved” to have his wife Meghan by his side when speaking on his decision to step back from the royal family, in the Oprah Winfrey interview clip.
On the reason for his decision, there are excerpts of an upcoming TV special with Oprah Winfrey, where he talked about his mother’s departure from the Royal Family three decades ago which reflected that history was “repeating itself”. The Duke of Sussex stressed that that he “can’t begin to imagine” what she went through alone.
On the time for the interview with Oprah, US interview airs on 7 March, while that of UK is unclear when the programme, Oprah With Meghan And Harry: A CBS Primetime Special, will be shown.
On like the Duke, comments were not retrieved from the Duchess of Sussex during the two 30-second clips of the programme released by American network CBS overnight.
In all, Harry’s concern was about history repeating itself. He said, “For me, I’m just really relieved and happy to be sitting here, talking to you with my wife by my side.”
