President Muhammadu Buhari has appealed to the National Assembly members to ensure the speedy passage of five executive bills before it to help his anti-corruption war.

Among the bills are the money ‎laundering and prevention bill , 2016‎, the Federal Capital Territory appropriation bill and the statutory budget of Niger Delta Development Commission ‎,2016‎,. 

He made the appeal at a dinner he hosted last night for the legislators and some chieftains of the All Progressives Congress, in Abuja  to mark the 2016  Democracy Day and his one year in office.

Meawhile Senator Ben Murray-Bruce representing Bayelsa South has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to focus more on improving the economy through increased partnerships with private investors as his administration clocks one year.

Ben murray Bruce also praised the efforts of the federal government in tackling corruption and insecurity.

The lawmaker, alongside his deputy, Senator Yahaya Abdullahi, expressed the determination of the committee to ensure that the Ajaokuta Steel Company is revived as soon as possible.
