Former US President, Donald Trump has permanently shut his blog page which he launched less than one month ago.

Sources disclosed that his team suggested he’d be launching a major new social platform, CNN reports.

In confirmation to the development, a senior aide to Trump, Jason Miller disclosed to CNBC that the page “will not be returning.”

Miller who stated that the page had been scrubbed, said, “It was just auxiliary to the broader efforts we have and are working on,”

Meanwhile, some people have made attempts to visit the page, but they are now greeted with a web form asking for their contact information to receive updates through email or text message.

Trump who was banned from Facebook and Twitter, thought of having his own platform. So, the idea of the blog called “From the Desk of Donald J. Trump,” came, and it was launched May 4.

At the time, the page was billed as a platform by which Trump could speak directly to his supporters.
