The Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi has signed a total estimate of one hundred and twenty-four billiom, Seven hundred and twenty-four million naira year 2020 Appropriation Bill into Law.
This followed the earlier adoption and passsage of the Bill by the State House of Assembly on Monday.
While signing the Appropriation Law, Governor Fayemi said the 2020 Budget is focused on transforming the State’s potential economic hotspots into sustainable growth zones through efficient planning and investments in human capital, infrastructure and other socioeconomic provisions that translates to prosperity on the long term.
The Ekiti State 2020 Budget is made up of N71.186billion – as recurrent expenditure, representing 57 per cent and N53.538billion – as
Capital expenditure, representing 13 per cent.
