The Cross River State  Governor Ben ayade has directed all his commissioners to submit handover notes before April 26.

This was contained in a statement signed by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Christian Ita, adding that  the governor has taken this step to trim down his cabinet ahead of second term.

According to the statement, the state chief of staff said that Governor Ayade would run a smaller and tighter cabinet in his second term in office.

“The development was necessary to trim down the number of political appointments in the state cabinet,” the statement read.
