Undoubtedly, the Igbo ethnic group is the new bride in Lagos as both the All Progressives Congress and the Peoples Democratic Party now take the campaigns to the camp of the Igbos resident in Lagos.

In the last few days, the APC governorship candidate, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and his PDP counterpart, Jimi Agbaje have visited the Computer Village, Ikeja, Alaba Market, Iyana Oba and Ladipo auto spare parts market to lure the large population of Igbos to vote for them.

Last week, the National Leader of the APC and former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu gave the traditional rulers in the state the marching order to convince the Igbos in their domain to vote for APC.

Meanwhile, the vice presidential candidate of the PDP, Peter Obi was also in Lagos where he accompanied Agbaje to some Igbo dominated areas in the metropolis.

In Okota, the traditional ruler in the area met with Igbo leaders where he appealed to them to vote for APC.

The governorship election is scheduled for March 9, across the country. At the weekend, it was gathered that Tinubu met with the APC leadership in Lagos where he told them to do all within their capacity to convince the Igbo people living in Lagos.
