Abuja – The bid by Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to unseat the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal through an ex-parte application has failed, reports Thisday.
The trial judge Justice Ahmed Mohammed of a Federal High Court in Abuja  has asked the party to put Tambuwal on notice.
The PDP through of one of its members in the House, Abiodun Akinlade, had approached the court seeking an order of mandamus to compel the Speaker to vacate his seat having dfected from the PDP to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
PDP also prayed the court for an alternative order directing the Deputy Speaker of the House of  to declare the Kebbe/Tambuwal seat vacant by an order of mandamus.
