The Nasarawa State House of Assembly has ordered the state’s Chief Judge, Suleiman Dikko, to set up a panel to investigate the impeachment offences leveled against Governor Tanko Al-Makura.
The directive was issued by the speaker, Musa Mohammed, after a motion moved by the Majority Leader, Godiya Akwashiku.
The motion was unanimously adopted by the twenty PDP members of the House but rejected by the four APC members.
An APC member Tanko Tunga criticized his colleagues for going ahead with impeachment process.
The seven-man panel has seven days to submit its report to the House.
