Oyo police uncover human trafficking syndicate in Ibadan.

The Oyo State Police Command has foiled a human trafficking operation, rescuing 84 victims, including 83 individuals and a child.

The victims were found at a house in the Orogun area of Ibadan. According to reports, these individuals were nationals of the Democratic Republic of Congo who were lured to Nigeria with false promises of employment opportunities.

The perpetrators allegedly extorted significant sums of money from the victims’ families.

The rescued individuals are currently being held at the Police Headquarters in Eleyele, Ibadan, where authorities are conducting further investigations.

The police are working to uncover the full details of the case and bring those responsible to justice.
