The authorities of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife have asked students of the institution to resume next Wednesday.
According to the Public Relations Officer of the institution, Biodun Olarewaju, the senate of the OAU has approved Wednesday, August 3, for the resumption of continuation of screening exercise for the new students while the stalites will come into residence on Sunday, August 7.
The announcement came two months after activities on the campus were halted by members of the Non-Academic Staff Union of Universities and Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities.

Last week, the senate of the unversity elected a new Vice Chancellor, Professor Anthony Elujoba.

He had since begun to discharge his duty, which of course has led to the resumption.
