NOLLYWOOD IN MOURNING: ACTRESS AND PRODUCER ALLWELL ADEMOLA DIES AT 43
Nollywood actress and producer Allwell Ademola has passed away at the age of 43.
Reports indicate that Ademola suffered a heart attack at her residence and was rushed to Ancilla Hospital in Agege, Lagos, where she was pronounced dead on Saturday.
The news, which broke quietly within the film community, has sent shockwaves through Nollywood.
Fellow actress Faithia Williams took to Instagram to express her grief, writing: “Haaaa. This hit me so bad. Eniobanke. Allahu Akbar.. Allwell.”
Popular actress Mide Martins also reacted on Facebook, posting a photo of Ademola with the caption: “BLACK SATURDAY……This is not fair😭 May God forgive your shortcomings Allwell😭😭😭.”
Other colleagues, including Damola Olatunji, have shared tributes, with many describing the loss as a “black Saturday” for the industry.
Ademola, known for her work in Yoruba and English-language films, was also a director, scriptwriter, and singer.
She was the granddaughter of the late Sir Adetokunbo Ademola, Nigeria’s first indigenous Chief Justice.
