Nobody Is Born Ugly — Ben Murray-Bruce Declares at Miss Universe Nigeria 2025
Summarising the essence of the 2025 Miss Universe Nigeria pageant with the lyrics of a popular soundtrack, Senator Ben Murray-Bruce put it succinctly: “There was a time.”
Speaking on the red carpet ahead of the grand finale of the third edition, the founder of Silverbird Group said beauty is inherent in every individual.
“Nobody is born ugly. To excel in life, you must have a dream and develop passion for what you do,” he said.
Murray-Bruce, who has been at the helm of Silverbird’s pageantry shows for over four decades, expressed optimism for the contestants.
“I have been in this show for 42 years, and my wish tonight is for all the contestants — good luck,” he added.
With the atmosphere charged with anticipation, a new queen will be crowned tonight at Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Lagos.
Beyond the crown, organisers said the event would also set the stage for Nigeria’s representative at the Miss Supranational pageant, underscoring the global opportunities that lie ahead for the winner.
