The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has formally partnered with the Al-Muhajirun Humanitarian Development Association to advocate for children’s rights and enhance the welfare of vulnerable groups, particularly the Almajiris, across Nigeria.

The commitment was announced by the Director General of NOA, Malam Lanre Issa-Onilu, during an audience with the association at the Agency’s headquarters in Abuja. Issa-Onilu stated that the NOA is dedicated to amplifying the voices of vulnerable populations, ensuring their concerns are forwarded to the government to inform inclusive responses and policymaking.

Issa-Onilu further stressed the necessity of extending support beyond Almajiris to include widows and other vulnerable groups. He noted that these demographics require focused attention, particularly through social, economic, and psychological support, to ensure their improved livelihood and well-being.

Responding, the Chief Liaison Officer of Al-Muhajirun, Ambassador Anas Maitamanin, commended the NOA Director General for his commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Maitamanin affirmed that the foundation’s mandate which includes advocating for child rights, fostering peace, and raising public awareness is strongly aligned with the NOA’s core objectives.
