Nine Killed in Austrian School Shooting

Graz, Austria – At least nine people, including students and teachers, were killed on Tuesday following a shooting at Dreierschützengasse Secondary School in the city of Graz.

Authorities confirmed that the suspected gunman, believed to be acting alone, also died—reportedly by suicide. The motive remains unknown as investigations are ongoing.

Austrian police responded swiftly to the incident, deploying tactical teams and a helicopter to secure the area. The entire school premises were evacuated as part of the emergency response.

A spokesperson for the Graz police told public broadcaster ORF that the situation is now under control, and there is no ongoing threat to public safety.

This marks one of the deadliest school shootings in Austria’s recent history, and authorities say a full-scale investigation is underway.
