The Super Eagles of Nigeria have defeated Benin 2-1 at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo on Wednesday, in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Nigerian Bordeaux player Samuel Kalu scored a crucial second goal that finally gave the Super Eagles victory after Benin’s Sessegnon netted the opener for the squirrel

As a result of a defensive error from the Super Eagles defence, Benin took advantage of the situation to go one goal ahead of Nigeria.

Because of this mishap, the Super Eagles  faced the consequence, but struggled to get a balance, after the second goal from Samuel Kalu.

Earlier on in the match, attempts were made by Super Eagles star Samuel Chukwueze as one of his finest chances in the 40th minute was his ball that hit the frame.

The first goal came after Ola Aina was fouled and Victor Osimhen did well to convert a penalty for the three time champions.
